Reimagining
Old Sydney Town Precinct

About this project

WCTV reimagines Old Sydney town and presents a unique and compelling opportunity to stimulate and grow the Central Coast regional economy through a significant investment in employment, tourism, and residential accommodation.

The proposal offers a unique Central Coast tourism experience, building on the continued operation of the hugely popular Australian Reptile Park, to introduce an exciting range of new visitor experiences for all ages. The local community, families and visitors alike, would be able to enjoy a diverse range of offerings including, sporting and aquatic activities, adventure tourism, and hospitality showcasing the region’s best cultural and culinary offerings.

It retains some of the Old Sydney Town buildings to create a key tourism destination that pays tribute to Sydney’s colonial past and enhances the historical and cultural significance of the site to the community.

The transformation of the site would deliver significant investment to the region, supporting the creation of local jobs, and creating a permanent local workforce to support the ongoing operation of the Village.

The proposal respects the Central Coast’s stunning natural beauty, while supporting the creation of employment and housing opportunities through the sensitive and balanced development of the site – improving experiences for new and existing communities for years to come.

WCTV could deliver:
